Flinders Street Train Station c.1912

from A$100.00

This is the results of a 12-hour restoration of the original glass plate in very poor condition with two major glass cracks. Flinders Street Train Station was only just-completed during this photo. It’s taken from the St Paul's Cathedral footpath at the intersection of Swanston and Flinders Streets. You can see the fashion of locals and the very heavy traffic of early adopter cars, open trams, horse-drawn vehicles, and pedestrians. Did you know number plates were first required in 1908? You can see one with “4978”, clearly not many in Victoria at that time.

We also have a variation available with the a text label.
